From design to mass production, Electricfil serves
its customers through an efficient organization,
adapted to their specific needs. Faced with the
growing complexity of industrial demands, and the
requirements they imply, the objective is threefold:
(1) shortened development cycles and faster time-to-market,
(2) higher productivity and greater flexibility,
and
(3) quality management in continuous improvement.
To achieve these objectives requires both a dialog
with and the confidence of customer engineering
departments. Furthermore, there has to be commitment
and cooperation among all teams from the very start
of consultations, plus an active role for suppliers
right from the start of the design phase.

A Lean manufacturing approach |
| |
In
all of its installations, both in development and in production, Electricfil applies the principle of lean manufacturing. Quality of products, reliability of process, elimination of all useless manipulations of parts, optimization of all production cells on basis of Kaizen continuous improvement methods. The whole organization aims for "zero defect"
in every customer delivery. |

Pilot
lines and collaborative engineering |
| |
Cooperation
between all players - R&D, industrialization
specialists, and suppliers - from the start of the
design phase, makes it possible to shorten development
lead times, plus increase process reliability. Electricfil
has set up pilot lines, to ensure the success of
each new production series, with operators participating
in design reviews. |

Flexible
production cells |
| |
For
the manufacturing of widely varying products, including
many new products, with maximum flexibility, production
is organized into cells, equipped with dedicated
machines. Each new production series benefits from
the close attention of a project manager, for at
least 6 months after startup, to ensure optimum
industrialization for each product.
