Purchasing

The Electricfil Purchasing team is currently present on three continents, in Europe, Asia and North America. Its mission is to identify companies capable of supplying the group with the components and materials required to manufacture our products, within set deadlines, under stringent quality criteria and optimal terms and conditions. A two-person Purchasing/Quality team is dedicated to each supplier.

Helping us be more competitive

Our offers to customers are improved through efforts to rationalize our relations with a group of closely monitored suppliers.

For mass-produced products, it is often necessary to redesign components with the supplier to achieve optimized cost and quality.
For products in the development phase, suppliers are brought into the project very early to take advantage of their technical and economic know-how, plan the future production resources and develop reliable quality procedures.

Secure procurement

Long-term relationships with strategic suppliers are reinforced through partnerships.
Deadlines are made reliable through supplier consignment stocks and strict application of the logistics specifications.
Quality is assessed during certification of candidates for supplier status. If a supplier is strategic, continuous improvements are encouraged and measured every six months. By sharing the experience of each company, everyone profits. Finally, in the event of supplier non-conformities, protective measures in the form of additional inspections ensure the quality of deliveries to customers.

Targeting synergy

Internationally, the Purchasing department strives to develop global sourcing while reinforcing its competency and know-how in the subsidiaries. Efforts to expand the group of suppliers and subcontractors target proximity with our industrial sites and producers in low-cost countries, consequently the priorities are China, Turkey, Eastern Europe, as well as India and the Americas.
Internally, synergy between Purchasing and the other company departments, notably the technical activities, is developed. For example, people from Purchasing are included in the technical platforms that prepare customer projects.
